RICK 
FISCHER

Rick Fischer is a self-taught artist with advanced educational and certified classes. He had an intermittent apprenticeship for 8 years starting in 1995. He studied with other master artisans around the US and Canada and continued work and study for several more years.

 

Rick became an instructor in 2002, teaching decorative painting and visual arts nationally at conventions and private decorative arts studios. He continued working on projects around the country as well as contracting work locally and regionally and teaching until 2012.

 

Today he is focused on his local area clients and contracts work for decorative painting and restoration with custom finishes.

2010 Best Vertical Decorative Concrete Application named “Cool Waves” by the American Society of Decorative Concrete Council

2010 2nd Place for Best Environment Friendly Historical Renovations for the Charley Creek Inn Wabash, IN, main lobby wall treatment in a natural/organic Italian lime wash and Marmorino plaster finish

2012 Best Floor Finish in Epoxy/Polyaspartic Under 5000 Sq.Ft. named “It’s A Duesey” A custom 1920s man cave garage/office themed makeover, by the American Society of Concrete Contractors

 

2014 2nd Place for Vertical Application Under 5000 Sq.Ft. named “On Fire With Old World Charm” for a custom casted fireplace surround and mantel by the American Society of Decorative Concrete Council

2014 Inducted Into The Bishop Dwenger High School Alumni Hall of Fame for Visual Arts
